Timaru Christian School was founded by a group of individuals who wanted to provide an opportunity for children to learn about the world around them in a way which integrates our Christian lives with our
day-to-day learning, showing that God is interested in every aspect of our world.

Our school aims to ‘honour God in all we do’. This includes in our work, our play, our friendships, in the class and in the playground. By making good choices we know that we are honouring God. The teachers have set high expectations of the students in terms of behaviour and learning and are there to support and encourage them to achieve those goals.
Our staff are passionate about teaching and they care about the education and well-being of each of their students. It is evident in their interactions with the children and the time they spend preparing lessons.
Over the past few years we have undergone many changes including moving to a great new location to assist with the growth we have experienced and we look forward to our future as we grow and develop.
