Nov 1992
Visit to Timaru by the NZ Director of ACE (Robert Steadman). 
4 Dec 1992
First meeting of the Investigating Committee for a Timaru Christian School (9 people agreed to be part of the committee). ACE was considered at this stage to "get the school started". 
29 Jan 1993
Letter of intent sent to all churches to gauge interest.

Letters written to a number of North & South Island Christian Schools to ask for advice on the process of getting started. 
10 Nov 1993
Public Meeting held (speaker Leigh Page, King's Christian School, Christchurch). This resulted in the first report in the Timaru Herald.

Ministry of Education advised of our intentions of opening a private school (no date set). 
29 April 1994
Agreed to set fees based on a percentage scale of nett family income. 
17 May 1994
Draft admissions policy completed. 
5 June 1994
Legal advice sought on setting up a Trust. 
17 June 1994
Public meeting with Richard Edlin, international Christian Education consultant. Topic - "The Why and How of Christian Education". 
June 1994
Visits to Avon Christian College and King's Christian School, Christchurch. 
1 July 1994
Draft principal's contract completed. 
20 Aug 1994
Visit to Christchurch to talk to Peter van Rij (lawyer) and visit Christian Schools.

21 Sept 1994
Visit from NZ Director for ACE. Subsequently decided not to proceed with ACE for the curriculum. 
1993 - 1994
Foundation Document, Statement of Faith and a number of policies completed. Decided to establish independent of a church congregation.

Serious investigations begun into finding a location for the school. Northhaven and New Life Centre premises were investigated. Negotiations followed with the New Life Centre. 
1 July 1995
Advertisement for a teacher placed. Starting date set - Jan 1996. 
22 Aug 1995
Principal's position offered to Susan Armitage. 
Sept 1995
Investigations into curriculum resulted in Helen Pearson being contacted. 
5 Sept 1995
Process of Provisional Registration started with Kelvin Smith, Ministry of Education, Christchurch. 
23 Sept 1995
Local schools advised of our intentions to open a private school. 
5 Dec 1995
Timaru Christian School Trust formed.
10 Dec 1995
Public meeting - "meet the teacher". 
Dec 1995
Decided to change opening location from the New Life Centre to the College Road Presbyterian Church.

Timaru Christian School opened.

Ministry of Education advised of our intentions to relocate to 91 North St. Use of existing rooms were envisaged at this stage. 
30 July 1996
Public meeting with Richard Edlin. 
Aug 1996
Investigations into bringing transportables from Dunedin to 91 North St. 
Nov 1996
Transportable classrooms moved onto 91 North St from Dunedin.
26 Nov 1996
ERO Review for Full Registration.
18 Nov 1996
Investigations into Integration formally started. Ian Young and Associates involved. Minister of Education advised.

Trustboard members and interested parents took part in Christchurch College of Education Board of Trustees training. 
7 Oct 1997
Meeting with Ministry of Education regarding Integration.

ERO visit. Susan Armitage leaves the position of Principal to take up a position in the North Island.

Term 1 2007 
The school year begins with three classes for the first time, Miss Kelsi Ferguson, Miss Toni Carter and Mr Robert Goulet are appointed.  The school roll is full and a waiting list is established.

Term 1 2008
The school is granted a roll increase.  We are now able to enroll up to 100 students

Term 2 2008
We establish a fourth classroom to account for the growing roll.  Mrs Linda Thompson and Mr Grant Phillips are employed as teachers
