Seeds

A Poem from a teacher (Mrs Cochrane) to her class (Room 1)

hand_holding_sprouting_seed

Our seeds are growing in the ground,
Their roots are curling round and round.
Their sprouts are reaching way up high,
Stretching to the bright, blue sky.
Sunlight seeking, warmth they need,
Water, nutrients to feed.
Without these things they will shrivel and die,
Lonely and washed on the ground they'll lie.

Our lives are like that, we are the seed,
God's love, His Word to grow we need.
Unless our lives we lay them low,And die to self, we cannot grow.
God's love, His power we'll never know,
The fruit, the growth, will never show.

So hunger, thirst, seek and pray,
Follow God the only way.
His Word is true, His way is right,
Trust by faith and not by sight,
Our weakness will show Him strong,
For His love our hearts will ever long.
Fulfilled on our secret place,Forever living, abiding, in His Grace
